Just noticed my amber driving light on the front fairing left side is burned out. The turn signal works but not the amber light just when the ignition is on. Is just the bulb burned out and how do you remove that lens cover to replace the bulb. Thanks for you help.

First, you get a hammer and a chisel..... :yahoo:

IIRC, the bulb socket will twist and release from the inside of the fairing (remember, I have a Gen I so things could be different) then you can replace the bulb.

You might have to remove the fasteners and let the fairing side dangle from the top 3 screws so you can get the clearance to reach the bulb socket.

Mike are you saying you remove the bulb from behind the fairing or can you just remove the lens cover to get to the bulb. Thanks matt I also have a Gen 1 thanks.

Found the right bulb late at night at the auto parts store. Now I can go for my two day ride leave first thing in the morning with out any issues. I always like easy fixes. Thanks for your help. It beats reading the manual.
