Yeah....I loooove heading to work and reading the bank thermometer in old Elk Grove: 70 degrees at 0430!

Sheesh!!!

Yep, the heat is here.

..you all better get into summer training for the first ever CBA Death Valley in August ride...

Reading only means something if the bike was parked in the shade, and not if the engine is still warm. Either of those will warm the temperature sensor above ambient air temperature. Even here in the UK I sometimes notice the effects of sunshine

I was chasing Fairlaner over Ebbetts, Monitor and Sonora Pass yesterday with Exskibum and Russ. Returning home from Sonora in the 105 degree heat was a real lesson in how much heat the FJR can vent. Parked the bike, stripped off the ATGATT and jumped directly into the pool. Wow! I needed that (no pics)

So...it's hotter than it was in May? Shoot, it was like 60 blazing degrees in May. ;)

I've come out to my bike preparing for my homeward commute. Took off the cover and stowed it, suited up, turned on the ignition and had the temp registered at 1 bar (on my Gen I) before the engine was started.

It DOES get mildly warm here.
