Hi All,

Due to recently killing off some savings by buying a new set of Motoport mesh kevlar gear, I've got some riding gear available for sale. I'm not really sure what this stuff is worth on the used market... so... what's it worth to you? Contact me through post or PM and we can work something out.

Firstgear "Torrent Mesh Jacket" - Size XL, 3/4 length.

The jacket was bought new in May 2009 from Newenough.com. It's a size XL, 3/4 length, and includes a removable waterproof, breathable liner. I had the jacket altered slightly not long after I bought it. You can see from the photo that the two corners of the collar are sewn down... this was done because the collar corners would curl inward and irritate my neck while riding. Also, one of the snaps in the end of the left sleeve of the liner that holds the liner in came off at some point. It doesn't really affect the functionality at all, ie, the liner still stays put as it should. Other than this, the jacket is in great condition. I really haven't used it much at all... maybe 2500 miles in total. Will zip to the below pants. Here's a link for more info: Firstgear Torrent Mesh Jacket

Firstgear "HT Air 2.0 Overpants" - 36" waist

2008 Model. These pants are awesome. They are cool and comfortable and protective. They also include a removable breathable waterproof liner. There is nothing wrong with them and I've made no alterations to them. They include the optional Hiprotec hip armor upgrade to augment the EVA foam hip armor. Bought in May 2009 along with the above jacket, have ridden in them about 2500 miles. Size 36 waist. Will zip to the above jacket. Fox Head Racing "Titan Sport Jacket" Armored Shirt - Size XL

Hardly worn... about 200 miles total... still like new. The back protector can be unzipped and worn separately with the included straps. This thing will protect you! Total air-mesh construction and the armor is all perforated for breathability. It easily fits under the jacket I'm selling. Here's a link to the manufacturer's page: Titan Sport Jacket

Like I said above, I'm just looking to sell these all for a fair price... a fair deal for both you and me. I can combine shipping if you're interested in more than one item. PM me if you want to haggle.

Cheers!

-Dustin

P.S. No, the guy in my avatar did not wear this gear, so, it's clean. :p

P.P.S Yes, I know that "guy" is Prince. Or wait, the Artist Formerly Known as Prince... or, wait... The Artist? The Thing? I dunno....

Sorry. I just cannot buy gear from a guy that looks like he wants to tongue me.

Looks like good gear though...
He didn't wear it, but he did lick it a few times. I'll be sure to run the gear through the washing machine before I send it out to its new home.

...HI , how do you like your Motoport stuff ??? Larry
It is exquisite. It fits me perfectly. I took the time to measure everything twice before I placed the order with Wayne. It's so cool and comfortable, it's like wearing nothing at all while on the bike. And personally, I think it looks good, though I know that places me in the minority.

Good for you !!! I've been debating about Motoport OR Aerostich ... I live in Ohio so I'am worried about cold weather and rain ... do you think it would be good in those conditions as well ??? I'am sure in New Mexico you guy's are looking for lots of air flow ... Did you go with the 1 piece... or 2, pants and jacket ...Larry

I've heard that Aerostitch makes an excellent suit. I actually considered buying one, but I heard from a lot of people they are just too hot for the climate I live in. You'd probably be good with a 'Stitch in Ohio, but I know it can get pretty warm and humid up there, too, so it might just end up being a 3 season suit depending on your heat tolerance.

I bought a two-piece: the Marathon jacket and the Air Mesh Kevlar pants. They go on very easily. I've never worn a one-piece, personally, so I can't comment on which I think is better.

If you buy Motoport, make sure you follow the measurement instructions on their website EXACTLY. Call Wayne and have him walk you through it. There are plenty of Motoport customers out there who complain of a poor fit and it seems like a lot of them didn't measure correctly.

Good luck with whatever you choose.
