Glad someone took some pictures (cause we were seriously negligent on that front). Of course, in the highest NERDS tradition there was no food **** taken. You want some ****, ya gotta show up and help wolf it down!
I will say that my "Not So Hungry Man's Special" was quite scrumptious, and the perfect size for my voracious appetite (by the time we got seated.)
Two thumbs up for the Intervale Farms' 2013 syrup from me. I would guess that what they served was grade B dark amber as that's what it tasted like. Much better Maple-ishiousness than the lighter colored Grade A stuff that the make for the city folks (and that stuff is also more expensive). I fed my growing wheat belly with a big dinner plate sized blueberry pancake with plenty o' syrup, then polished off the 2 eggs, homefries and toast it came with just to hold me through lunch (it was already ~11 AM).
Although the greenery is still lacking, and the mornings are still mighty cool, I do like these shoulder seasons for riding. Less bugs (the blackflies are out already though), nice refreshing upper 60's, to low 70's afternoons, and you can still see through most of the corners, what with all the bare trees. Down side is the sand in a few places and the frost heaves that haven't laid flat yet. Let's just say that the newly rebuilt Penske got a good workout today.
