Sunday ride to the Snake

Left Sunday morning from Durham and rode up to the Snake and Shady Valley. The Snake is one of my favorites. Then on to Damacus and hwy 58 back to down to Mouth of Wilson, then 16 to 88 to 18 to Sparta, then 21 down and across to Dobson. Back roads to Pilot Mountain, then 52 to Winston Salem and back to Durham. Great ride and the weather was perfect. 500 miles and change.

I've ridden just about all of that and it's fantastic. Better in some ways than the more popular roads in Deals Gap. Not much traffic and popo to deal with.

500 miles in that region is a huge day of riding, for sure.

Love that area. Been there many time. Snake and Rt 58 are awesome.
