I have searched for info on this and come up with nothing. In working on my suspension, I discovered that my 2006 seems to have many more adjustment clicks than the manual indicates. I have not forced anything. I am very careful to use only a thumb and one finger while doing the turning - either with the knobs or a screwdriver. I have 43 clicks on the shock, 33 rebound and 31 compression on the forks. I have been setting everything out from full hard. So, at least, it's consistent.

My question is: Has anyone else noticed anything like this? I asked the service writer at the local dealership about it and got a blank look. I'm actually not sure he knew that the suspension could be adjusted.

Any ideas?

Dan

You might want to try searching suspension settings in the tech forum.

Lots of good information there.

Keep in mind that when you turn the clicker/adjuster you are simply positioning a needle into a hole or withdrawing it depending on which way the adjuster is turned. Out (less damping = needle out of the hole, more damping = needle into the hole). After the first several clicks (usually not more than 10) the needle is out of the hole far enough that any additional clicks are meaningless because the needle's position allows for maximum oil flow. The total number of clicks is more of a marketing tool than a real adjustment. For example if an FJR has 18 clicks of rebound adjustment and a C-14 has only 12, then clearly the FJR is superior etc...
