First off, I missed out on the recent GP Suspension group buy arranged by Warchild.

Second, I hit a hog aka Florida wild pig with my FJR. I replaced the plasic (right side), but the front wheel hits the right and left plastic and cover directly behind the wheel. I've had it on and off several times and don't see where anything is out of alignment which brings me to the front fork assembly.

I can't see any damage, but I'm thinking now the front tubes are bent just a tad. I missed the hog with the wheel, but he hit hard on the fork/lower leg and took out everything on the right side back. Hit my leg as well, but I kept it up somehow so it could have been worse. Killed the hog, young adult male ~100 lbs +.

Anyway, I need to pull the forks and have them checked and fixed if need be. I figure as long as I'm there I might as well upgrade to better front suspension/revalve. The GP shop is out west, so was hoping I could get some recommendations of a shop at least on the east coast, and maybe down my way in Central Florida.

Thanks for the tip; I ended up taking the bike into the dealership and getting my insurance involved. Hope to have it back this week. They are replacing the fork tubes (both bent), and swingarm bearings, plus some other stuff here and there. All stock of course.

Modifying both front and rear suspension is on my list, so thanks again for the tip on the shop in Pompano; I'll give them a call or just stop by on a ride - it's not all that far away - and talk to them.

I own an '06 and had the opportunity to ride my buddy Brian's '05 with Traxxion upgrades front and rear. We were on the Dragon and I had been scraping pegs most of the morning - when we turned around during one run we traded bikes - didn't even come close to touching anything and it felt like I was going faster through the corners. I think that'll be my next upgrade. Brian had taken his to Traxxion for the install and they set did all the set up for him - he couldn't be happier with it and I completely understtand why.

I have traxxion and it is great and they are having a sale now. Since you missed the GP stuff take advantage of Traxxion

So just the "Canyon Carver Kit" would most likely be the one to get? Intended use is alot of mile eating and some fun at destinations such as the NC/TN/VA mountains.
