Too bad. Yes, they were odd looking but generally advertised to get great mileage. Probably failed from zero advertising, I've never seen a dealership or advertisement.

 
At least that dealership had a couple of years' business. A Saturn dealer was completed here just as Saturn evaporated in 2008. Facility was complete, never occupied. It still sits as available real estate all these years later. Well, this past June a non-emergency medical transport company rented it.

My son had an Aero, thought he'd like a little hatchback. Hated it within a week of getting it. Traded it after 6 months while still thousands upside down, and he thought it was well worth doing.

If I'm not mistaken the whole Suzuki brand is in bad shape.. :unsure:
It does seem that the M/C business (at least on the street) is pretty crappy for them. Outside of selling GSXR's to squids or for track use there's very little sign of a Suzuki on the road.

This is true! I think it has something to do with the fact that when you step on the gas pedal. Nothing happens! When somebody's grandma on a walker passes you on the road, you're in big trouble. :eek:

Seems like it was only 2 or 3 years ago when Suzook didn't import any road bikes into the US.. :unsure:

But I could be mistaken.

 
Back in my youthful days I went from a Yami Seka to a Zook Katana, I thought back then that new Zooks were the cats *** (I did kinda miss that all digital dash on the Seka however!). So I was pro Zookie once upon a time, the cars? just never liked them personally.

 
My first bike was a Suzuki GS750. Pretty cool bike in 1977, and the company has done its best to put lame products on the road ever since.

Anyone ever been offered a Suzuki Samurai for a rental?

 
That's kinda sad.

I had a '93 4 door Sidekick. Put 90K miles on it, only spent $500 on repairs the whole time I owned it.

Never really warmed up to the new ones though.

 
The Suzuki motorcycle market is actually doing okay. Better that okay, really. Still a metric assload of Gixxers, SV650s, and V-Stroms on the road and being sold. And the Hayabusa of course.

Pity that the PR/marketing campaign for Suzuki autos never seem to go anywhere. We had a guy here at work with a SX4 Sportback that he abused/drove the piss out of, and it held up pretty well.

They were kinda pricey for what you got, though. They should have structured their pricing like Kia.

The Grand Vitara and SX4 are fairly popular here. The Equator truck (a re-badged Nissan Frontier) was a disaster. My son had a Swift (with the 'big' 1.3L engine!) that he just couldn't kill.

I had a Swift back in the late 90's in Quebec, had to unload it when I got transferred to California because the American's wouldn't let it into the States. It was a decent little econo-box, and while I never missed it once it was gone it was OK for getting around in.
