What is the diff in a GSX-R and GSX-F?

Both are 600 or 750 bikes (or could be)

The Katana seems to be the F but they also have a 600 F and R?

Is it a fairing diff?

F for detuned French engine?

very different in all ways, including bodywork

gsxr - full on racey sport bike

gsxf - tame sporty bike

gsxr - water cooled

gsxf - air/oil cooled

gsxr - real suspension

gsxf - basic suspension

gsxr - real brakes

gsxf - lame brakes

gsxr - ever-evolving latest technology

gsxf - unchanged, for the most part, for quite some time

Kevin, no, you cannot have a GSXR so that you can go chase MSC around. Stop it, act like an adult.

Depending on the year...

gsxr - fuel injected

gsxf - carbed

I think you guys missed it.
GSX-F: Friggn sucks

GSX-R: Really cool

:p

HAHAHAHA good one :yahoo:

Hey... I LIKE my GSXF 1200!

But that' cause I dint' want a real sportbike, I needed something I could spend more than 20 minutes at a time on! <LOL>

the gals I rode with..about half had sportbikes and half cruisers..., the sportbike riders would complain if they spent more than 30 minutes riding without stopping..

and it wasn't any better when the guys rode with us.... worse... they took longer breaks!

Heck, it takes me an hour just to get comfy and settled... if I aint' done 100 miles before breakfast and 300 before a mid afternoon lunch, I haven't gone anywhere! <LOL>

I will say one thing, my little Bandit been in one wreck (totalled cause of a dent in the side frame, bought it back) layed over at least once that I know of, and knocked down in a parking lot at school... But she just keeps on running! It's all my son's fault... he was riding it! <G>

Don't ask me-I don't know a SV from a TS from a Rebel.
Rebels are hondas aren't they? I've been thinking about trading up to one.

They are a lot like an SV though
