I don't know if I'm getting hallucinations in my old age or going blind, but I swear that SW-FOG text looks like it's fading in and out--dimming and getting brighter. But when I look right at it it's not. Anybody else getting that? I should probably just have kept quiet. Showing my age. Um, the speed limit in NM is freaking 60? It's empty out there. (Except for the cop car, of course.) :D
Nice logo.
That section of road is actually posted pretty fairly. The road is south of Taos as you head towards Espanola. It is a two lane with no shoulders. There are lots of turns, and lots of turn-offs that go into two-track roads. There are also roadside stands where people peddle Pinon, Indian Tacos, and other stuff, so people are turning left in front of you for what may seem like no apparent reason. Remember that that area is also chock full of deer, coyotes, elk, large rabbits, feral dogs, and just about any other animal that may decide to jump out into traffic.

On another note, that on-coming truck is not a cop car. He is carrying something in the bed of the pickup, and that truck looks like a loaded down Toyota.

That area is patrolled by three agencies.

State Police drive either black w/white roof Crown Victorias, or Ford Expeditions.

Taos County SO drive white w/green&yellow (I think...If I remember right) stripes Crown Victorias, 3/4 ton Chevy Trucks, or Chevy Impalas. Most have very thin LED light bars on top, but may have interior lights. If I had not been paying attention, I would have gotten popped by two deputies in a truck last time I was up there. It says "Sheriff" on the rear in very small silver letters. They are probably reflective at night, but nearly impossible to see during the day.

Taos PD are mostly driving Chevy Impalas with LED bars and there are a couple of BMW bikes on their payroll. One of my best friends runs that bike unit.

K and Ka instant-on radar and some pretty limited LASER are the norms in that area.

Please remember that due to the demographic, drunk drivers are not out of the ordinary in that area.

Ride accordingly.

Excellent job on the logo.
No can see Bust's pix. He's a doofus.  :p ;)
Big-D, logo is wicked beautiful; once again, great job! That logo would be ****, clits and liquid lips on a white long sleeved T-Shirt; Triple Extra Lard for Chuy por favor!

PS to Bluesy: Please note, Bust is actually a double doofus!

If Bustanut joker's photobucket album isn't restricted, I'd be absolutely freaking amazed. You should see the crapola he sends me on my phone: Pure Smut!
I can't see any of the pictures either because photobucket is Websensed. I was able to see the small picture Iggy linked for the sig line, but it was too small for real discussion.

I quoted your post there Don, because a lot of that so called smut Bust sends your phone comes from me. I have a friend who works in a hospital. I don't know where she gets those pictures, but holy crap.
Well folks, my daily shipment of **** from HotRodZilla arrived on my cell phone. He always sends it when I'm at the store, bank or a restaurant. Or at Sunday Mass!!

You're luck you're not my boss. I send awesome stuff to her when she is in meetings. She can't dare tell anyone why she is laughing her *** off in the middle of whatever it is they are bitching about.

re: the avatar.

May I suggest the speed limit of 69 mph instead of 60, just for conversation sakes. And replace the 2 autos in the background with FJRs.

Just a suggestion.

SW-FOG 2010 avatar is supurb. I would leave off all the info and/or put it on the sleeves or under the avatar, or on the front or back. IMO, hope that helps.

ALMOST completely correct...that photo is on State Road 68 between mile markers 33 and 34 looking NORTH toward Taos and Taos Mountain...HRZ left out big horn sheep in that area as well. FYI about a half mile from here (south, behind where the photo was taken) in an area known as the horseshoe there have been some very bad crashes, several fatalities including motorcycles...KEEP IN MIND>>>There are some ***** drivers out here as well as LOTS of animals on the roads and people cutting you off for rediculous reasons...like the guy that made a hard left in front of me while I was passing him because he decided he needed to turn around and go to church (two totaled veh's outta that one and hospital trips for everyone!)...in the middle of freakin' no where!!!

Taos PD isn't that far south of Taos but the SO and State Police are hitting that area very hard due to crashes. Heads up...tickets suck but hitting a horse with antlers sucks infinitely more! For more info on what to bring to SW FOG see my post in the SW FOG thread...oh, and watch for rocks on road!

Mark (Cometman), Taos will prove to be an awesome ride. If you still think you can head out to the Land of Enchantment a day early, design your route towards Lake Havasu and I'll ride out with you. The Colorado Pinhead has plans to arrive a day early also.

Thanks Dan for the invite. I am not sure yet what route I am taking. I maybe in Washington State visiting my daughter and grandson around the same time and may eave from there and travel a different path. I will now more later in August. Another route I was thinking of was leave a week before and go east from Reno and into Utah, Colorado and down to New Mexico. So many ways and such little time for me.

Later, Mark
