Which one of the San Diego casinos would YOU recommend for a SW-FOG venue? Is there one that is way better than others for SW-FOG 2011?
If I can jump in here...

The only two casino's in SD that have hotel capability for this are Pala and Harrah Rincon. Problem is that there isn't much closeby other than the casino itself. Up the road is Pachenga in Temecula. Very similar to Pala and Rincon.

If you're serious about having SWFOG 2011 in the SoCal area (and not married to the casino option), how about someplace like Big Bear? They have the Northwoods Resort, for a starting point.

FYI

https://www.northwoodsresort.com/ Thanks Neil, but a little too pricey for we true Southwesterners! $129 a night for just a single, we only paid $71 a night for a double at The Kachina Lodge in Taos, New Mexico. We are not rich and wealthy, like all of you SoCal FJR Owners; if I had your money and Fairlaner's: I would burn mi Dinero!

...I can sleep with johnny80s and FJRBluesman for $160 a god-damn night!
Uhmmm...who pays who here...??

If I had Fairlaner's and my money, I would have Fairlaner's money and $1. Janet doesn't pay me so well...

BTW, I've never tried to do a group rate package before. Wouldn't you expect the prices to drop a bit?

https://www.pechanga.com/ Okay, Mister Got Rocks Midas Neil in San Diego; this is much better at $99 a night for a double. It looks really close to M/C roads, too!
****, I could walk to Pechanga Casino from my house.

On the other hand, I would save on lodging, or make money on lodging. :glare:

Hmmmm, things are looking brighter. :yahoo:

COLDCUT would have a shorter walking distance to Pechanga and he could be the one to lead the group rides because he wears a badge.

There is some fantastic riding all around Pechanga.......what do you need me to do Don?

Hello Richard, Many Thanks for your offer of assistance! I'll call Big-D this PM and pick his brain on selecting Pechanga as the location of SW-FOG 2011 and what dates we should select. We naturally would ask you to be our Ride Leader; and, Dan and I would serve as Co-Rallymasters for SW-FOG. DS

We're thinking long and hard about making this a mid-week rally, such as CFR 2010 in Mont-Tremblant was up in Quebec. Mid-week seemed to work well!

Hi Ed, Besides Fairlaner as Ride Leader, I was hoping to also enlist you and COLDCUT as Ride Leaders; we were running with a very large group in Toas!

Welcome from San Diego!

My only complaint with the event ON the Indian Reservation, Is the possibility of being a dry area. It is known that a few FJR members like their alcohol!!! ;)

Pechanga does have a bar or 3.......

R
Their web site indicates 6 bars. :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: :alcoholic:

BeemerDons and Big-D,

How about we stay on the intended topic "Ride Reports" and steer this last highjacked page to SW-FOG 2011 planning or something?

We would like to hear more about the latest ride and see some pics. Or maybe start over again?

Edit

OOps, I see a new thread has been started on SW-FOG for next year planning.

Erase, erasie

But can we continue with the ride report? Please
