Anyone use Motul brand synthetic oil? I'm going to try it in my Triumph but was wondering if anyone has used it in their FJR.

avoid the ones labeled as energy efficient and you should be fine regardless of what you get (as long as it meets viscosity targets).

I've been using the oil that will not be spoken and changing it out at 5k miles. But I also have been getting oil samples analyzed by Blackstone. They come out clean and the lab is recommending going to 6.5 miles between changes. Timing/trips, etc. haven't let me extend it, yet.

To the OP, also had an st1300 for about 16K miles, used full synthetic, either amsoil or Mobil 1 XT, never had the clutch slip, never.

Using Mobil 1 XT strictly now in the FJR (that's what the original owner put in for the 1st 3500 miles, so I didn't switch), and it too never has the clutch slip.

What kind of oil were you using in the st13?
