Getting real close now. Went for a shake down yesterday only to find a defective front tire so it was a quickie tire swap last night. Now my wifes bike is on the lift without a front tire but mine is happy.

I did a dry run on packing the tank bag last night. Let's just say it was an exercise in spatial management (with many, "Well, crap. That's not going to work", comments strewn throughout the process.). You never think things are going to take up as much space as they do until you try to stuff them into a bag or suitcase... :lol:

How many of you guys are going to be doing some of the day rides while there? I would like to do maybe two of the shorter ones. I don't have a GPS system.

I will be for sure doing some rides around Golden. Got the GPS but all you really need is a good map. I picked one up at AAA a couple of days ago and will be highlighting some of the rides on it. There will be signup sheets and informal groups going out on rides every morning, or you can head out on your own.

The Mrs. and I are planning on touring RMP on Friday, 7/25, and Pike's Peak on Saturday, 7/26. 200 - 250 mi/day trips are about all she's willing to do. That's Ok; 4 or 5 hours of riding leaves plenty of time to sample the local brew selections!
