Does anyone know if the tail light & tail fairing from a Gen I will fit a Gen II? I have to replace both (sand in road + ditch = ouchies) and found both on ebay but I'm not sure about fitment. Just eyeballing the pics, I'm gonna say no, but still hoping...

The parts from the dealer are going to run me about $300 and I just don't have the money right now since I had to replace a saddle bag too.

Go on Yamaha's web site and compare part numbers.

Then, take those part numbers and get the prices from www.ronayers.com to giove you an idea about what you are looking at price-wise . . . you may be pleasantly surprised.

I already have part numbers from some yamaha dealer (the one in dallas I think) but I didn't think anyone else carried stock parts.

Wow, surprisingly the dealer (https://goo.gl/su6L) is cheaper than ron ayers on the tail light. The part number is 3P6-84710-10-00

Kirrilian, you may take a look here for alernate parts providers. Definitely, some are better than others pricewise.

I checked about 5 of those links and did a google search on the part number, again, the dealer (stadium yamaha) has been cheaper. Guess I just need to save my duckies till I can order the parts.

Thanks for all your help guys.
