We left the Tulsa area around 10:30AM Sat (11/1/08) for Arkansas to ride the Talihina/Mena Drive. While in Talihina around 2pm as we were getting ready to mount back up on the 08 model we had someone on an 07 honk and wave, any listers? The ride was excellent and the colors couldnt be beat. Anyone thinking of going for the fall colors need to go quick or it will be too late. We spent the night in Booneville Ar. Sat. night then went to Magazine Mountain lodge for breakfast Sun morning. After leaving the mountain we ( the wantabe pillar and me) rode 309 north to 23 (pig trail) to 16 to Siloam Springs then old 412 back to Tulsa. While going through Ozark Ar I noticed 3-4 FJRs parked in a parking lot, anyone here?. About 525miles total and it was all excellent. Did they have a sale on Harley's? God they are everywhere. There were several other sightings along Hwy 23 in Ar. This is my first FJR and comming off a VFR I can only say one thing, "WOW these things are strong."

Later, BC

Let me know if you want me to pull any others in here.

Let's see if this helps.

1. Go to your photobucket page and click in the direct link box below the picture you want to use in your post. (you'll get a small pop up that will say 'copied')

2. Go to the forum and start your post. When you get to the point you want to insert the picture, click the button that looks like tiny hills with a sun behid them (I need reading glasses to make it out). Click that and in the pop up box that shows up, paste the URL that was copied from step one then select OK.

That should be it.

Okfjr, I guess I missed seeing you amongst all the bikes.....

It was a great day...as the photos below show

Hi, sounds like a great ride, and nice pics too!

Can you tell me about your rear trunk case? What kind is it and how do you like it.

Thanks and ride safe!

It's a Shad 46Liter. I Like it. It's considerably cheaper than GIVI and it matches real well. I had to wire the optional break light myself and add the backrest but it was no big deal. If you get one they make two different mounts, get the plate that bolts into the three existing holes in the tail section, it's much stronger. I got the 46L case, backrest, breaklight and mounting plate for under $400.00

Thanks, I'll check them out before plunking down for a Givi.
