Just ride the speed limit +5, like I do, and you'll not have any problems. I don't understand those who feel the need to regularly ride at 75-80 mph or ride an adventurous span of hours at 100+. You must be  !You must be really feeling it when you cruise along at 110.I kinda reached the conclusion that the folks who don't care about a 6th gear are the ones who live in states with aggressive enforcement of freeway speed limits. When I'm cruising at 80+ on the freeway for an hour, yeah, I want a 6th gear.

There is a lot of typing going on here for a few hundred RPMs difference. It's not like a 6th gear is going to give us a "super" overdrive. A more likely scenario would be ratio changes throughout all gears and a very little change (2%-5%) in the final (top) gear.
The bulk of this discussion concerns engine speed vs. freeway speed. If it were a chain drive bike there would be discussion about changing the front sprocket 1 tooth. Why doesn't someone have a new set of gears machined to change the final drive ration and report back the "improvement"? Until that is done, the rest is conjecture and theory.
