Glad you're OK, taodow. No comment on functioning balls, except to say a 25-year-old vasectomy was one of my brightest decisions in life.

The "Balls to Tank Club" ... I hope we remain a select few

. I joined the club in 2002 when the FJR was just 8 weeks new to me :-(

Glad you're relatively OK

Gawd . . . can you imagine what KJ could dream up for a sig-line icon?

If the tank was not full of gas, the deceleration of the impact pushed the fuel to the front of the tank, leaving all the air space available at the rear.

I'd have loved if my old Virago's tank collapsed that way. Instead, it collapsed along the veritcal plane and formed a wedge that popped the sides of my pelvis off like the wings of a butterfly. Needless to say, I wasn't walking at all after I stopped bouncing down the road. Gave me 3 months to decide what my next bike was and ended up with the '13 FJR. Glad to have the new bike, sad that I had to let the old one go. Happy to hear you've only got the bike decision to worry about.
OUCH Knew I was fortunate, you confirmed.

If he makes one, I will use it.

Dayum Brodie. Your image makes me so happy I took flight on my FZ1. Notice, the bar end did it's damage but no nutsack damage to the tank.

How did they not see you coming with that colour scheme?
The only two vehicles on a 2 lane road, on top of a levy, just past midnight with clear sky, on the only half mile straight section, at the only road getting off the levy down into the country side; having been approaching each other for roughly 10 seconds before he made a left turn across my path...

"Gosh officer, where did he come from?"

You tell me.

He must have seen my twin headlights, and thought it was a car way off in the distance, instead of a motorcycle 20 feet away running at 50 MPH on cruise control.
He didn't see me!

That's why I'm now running full Clearwater lighting both up front and to the rear, AND retro reflective vinyl on the fairing and bags. At least I will stand a better chance next time.

Ouch. Sorry to have brought back painful memories, just trying to make fun of your impressive colour scheme.
