Thanks for the link. Man that mag-knight tank top kit is pricey. 45 bucks for a silver one and it doesn't even cover as much as the tankslapper bag kit. I've applied many a MX bike side number plate kit, it can't be harder than that. From what I understand it's got no adhesive either, so it attaches like the little Grease Monkey oil change reminders on my car window. I'll just peel it up if I don't get it right.

You could try some of the clear self stick film that dirt riders use to cover there number plates. Fairly inexpensive and available at Cycle Gear in San Jose ( https://www.cyclegear.com/ )
