Sharks are fine, but I grew up and played hockey in Denver. I gotta go with the home State team (even though I've lived here 16 years). I am going to the Avs vs. Sharks on Monday the 15th. I love hockey games! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:No likee the Sharks, NoCal? .
Well, I have to disagree to a point with you. There is plenty love of the game in hockey. I have been exposed to a few locker rooms of pro sports: 3rd and 2nd division pro Soccer, NHL hockey, NBA basketball. (in order of most experience). I have to say the rooms that impressed me the most in terms of respect, honor and love of the game were all the NHL teams that I was lucky enough to visit: the Canadiens, Predators and Hurricanes. Damn good guys and a hell of a lot of heart by my reckoning.Sorry people but old time hockey rules....this 5 mins overtime then shootout **** is just that ****....like the goalies crease being 6 ft wide & inlarging the blue line to goal area....sucks :angry03: ....JMO though.... then again I guess its good for all the no talent players playing these days....there for the dough...not for the love of the game....
I would agree with that. I do think that eliminating the clutch and grab is a good thing. Amazing to think that Joe Sakic is number 9 all time in point scoring and almost his entire career was against the clutch and grab. There is truly some greatness in today's hockey.Maybe....but old school hockey is still far superior to watch & play....
