TBS and vacuum gauge oscillations

Hello,

I have decided to make a trottle body sync on my FJR. I have stole-borrow 4 vacuum gauge where I work and today I try to connect one of those on the injection of the bike...in every cylinder I got strange reading of vacuum, the needle oscillation is very fast at idle speed, but seems to be more precise if I rev the engine.The bike run great, I think I have no valvle problems, the only issue is the idle speed is oscillating +/- 50 rpm.

You will need something to dampen the gauges. I recommend you purchase a set made for this type of operation. What you are seeing is normal, but you are not likely to get the sync done with that type of gauge.

I have seen guys make their own gauges, their are even a couple of posts on this topic on the board. I would not mess with it. You can but a set for around $100.00 or you can get someone that owns a set near you to assist with this issue. Good luck to you.

Well..Take two washers and a screw with a nut.Try to clamp the tube,hose and tight it until the needle start to stability..Thats it..!!When you tight the nut with the washers on the hose you will have more stability on the needle..Stop to tight the nut when you will see the needle very stable with a very low motion...X 4 The same steps...

The vacuum lines need to be restricted so you get a measurement, but not fast airflow, and then the reading will dampen out and stabilize.

Tools sold for the bike come with little restrictors to put in the vacuum hoses.

I just did a tbs on mine and it was really easy with the proper tool. I purchased a Motion Pro Syncpro from another member. Here is what is inline in hte hoses to dampen the vacuum:

Take a look at how small the holes are. Looks like a carb jet.

Realy do you like ouzo??Have you ever drink ouzo??

The best accompanying with ouzo is griiled Octapous,shrimps,and other sea foods with slices of tomato, feta cheece,small pieces of bread...Ouzo loves all seafoods...and some spicy sausage like peperoni and salami..

For a nice drink ouzo enjoy it with four parts of cool ouzo 15 minutes about in the freezer and one part of freezing water about half an hour in the freezer!!Don't drink ouzo with ice cubes..the ice cubes damage the great taste of ouzo..!!
