Techmount on '06 stem nut --> what torque?

What is the correct torque? Yes, I did try the "search" function...

80 ft.lb. will do it.

No, I'm not! Stem is torqued at 115nm which is:

115 newton meter = 84.819 646 937 pound foot actually!

Stem Nut = Initial tightening = 37 ft-lbs.

Stem Nut = Final tightening = 13 ft-lbs.

i can't imagine the 06 being that much more than the 05.

80 Ft pound is a lot of torque.

What does initial/final tightening mean?

The stem nut is 85 ft lb Number 3 on the diagram

The ring nut is the one that has the initial torque of 37 ft lb, to seat the bearing; then loosen and retorqued for a final 13 ft lb tightening.

This from my 2004 Service manual, I assume this to be the same for all model years.
