Techmount replacement shaft

Would kinda like to pick up a 1.5 inch replacement shaft in silver finish for Techmount stem mount. I have the 3 1/2 already mounted. My GPS covers up the speedo, etc, on the dash. It will be fine when using a tank bag on long trips, but would prefer the shorter one for most riding. Thought I'd try here first.

Charlie, I initially put the 1.5 inch shaft on my Techmount system. Had trouble getting to the ignition key and switched to the 3.5 inch shaft...even though it does cover the instrument lights. If I can find the shorter shaft, I'll send it to you. I'll look later this am.

Take a look at my installation using the short shaft and tell me what is different?

Hey, thanks for all your suggestions and to Brazos for his generous offer to send me one. I like TC's (and Sport Bike Effects') idea of reversing the bracket. I just took a quick look and it appears that it will give the me the proper visibility. An added plus is that if I want to extend it for tank bag use, I can just flip the bracket and not have to remove the RH handlbar and riser.

I shoulda thought of that myself...installed it in a cold garage on Xmas day and forgot the particulars since then. :dribble:
