I was exploring methods of mounting my Garmin nuvi 1370T GPS last week. I had found the RAM-Mount.com system first that looks fine. And someone on this forum suggested I look at Techmount as well. The picture you have shown sure does look like a techmount. You would now need and accessory (a cradle) to mount a GPS, cel phone, iPod etc etc. And if you do not want it, perhaps I'd be interested ...Is this a techmount? Is it missing a piece? If not what do I do with that?

It sure looks like a techmount stem nut. Not sure what that thing on the end of the arm is supposed to mate with. Depending on what you're trying to mount, you probably need to replace that with an appropriate piece. Check out https://www.techmounts.com for what they've got.

It is missing the plate that is rectangular and has a "titt" on it to line up with the dimples on the top piece.
The center of the plate will have a couple of recessed holes where the screw goes through to attach it to the top piece.
