My son just bought a new V-Star 1300 tourer. (If you can't own an FJR this bike isn't bad!) He bought the bike from MY local dealer in Garden City Ks. Said he saved more then enough money to make the trip (8 hrs) from there to here and back. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone can help point him (through me) to a dealer in/around Arlington Texas that is honest and fair. He is going to need the bike serviced as soon as he gets home and will be looking to purchase some accessories. Anyway, if anyone can give some good advice and suggestions for a good dealer it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. John

Try stadium yamaha off of 183. There's another shop in garland or sumptin that is supposed to be better, though.

edit: Oh, forget the arlington shop off of 360 and division......that's a cat and mouse show.

Yep. Stadium is the place closest to Arlington that I trust for service.

Thanks for the help. I have called the son and he said he will be contacting Stadium. Your information sure helps me feel better about him having a good dealer to work with. Thanks so much. John

Son said he called Stadium Yamaha. Price for the 1000 mile check up is $350.00. He talked to the Yamaha dealer in Paris tx. and they quoted $60.00 plus parts. He says for the price difference he can drive it the hour and half. Can anyone tell me about the Yamaha dealer in Paris? Decent people? Honest? I tried getting him to understand that if a dealer isnt honest the difference in price could be the hook and he could regret it later. Anyway, has anyone had experience with this Yammy dealer? His appt. is this weekend. If these people aren't honest at least I can give him some other info and get him to rethink what he is doing. If they are a decent dealer then I know he will "go the extra mile" to do business with them. Thanks for your input and help. John

I purchased my bike at Richardson Motorsports (75@ Beltline) in Richardson. For what little I have used them they have been very fair and fast. Always get me in and out pretty quick.
