The FJR1300 owners of this forum wish to congratulate Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano and Shuji Nakamura's winning of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics for your ground-breaking work in blue LEDs.

Your work to perfect a blue LED so that all the existing lonely red and green LEDs of the world could be harnessed in three-part white light harmony has directly affected our community in stock lighting of Gen 3 FJRs.

But perhaps more fundamentally you've helped an explosion of options of cost effective auxiliary LED lighting. We thank you for perfecting the fundamental technology that allows us to pack more lumens per watt into smaller packages we can mount on the front our motorcycles, so that we can ride more safely at night, see things in whiter whites, be seen more easily by cages, and just have plain ol' fun searing Bambis' retinas as we slice through the landscapes of our world.

As well, we recognize LED lights are still in the early stages of fundamentally changing lighting technology and will look forward to further innovations including hopefully and all-LED Gen.

Be it resolved as an FJR owner, administrator of the FJRForum.com, and happy user of your invention I welcome you as Emeritus Members in the Most Excellent FJR Farkle Society with all the rights, privileges, responsibilities and dogpile immunity idol that go along with this recently invented title. Also, I call upon all FJR owners to raise a glass and congratulate our new photon besties Isamu, Hiroshi, and Shuji.

May many lumens shine in front of you.

Ignacio

Illuminating. Great award. I needed a reason to open a beer, and does the third guy look uncomfotably like Garrison Keillor? ff

Thank you esteemed gentlemen, for making our (FJR owners) life better because of you hard work....cheers!

"It's the Blue LED tipped with Phosphorus, that gave us the white light" he said!

Interesting how alcohol affects it's users. Ol Bust shaves his anus, and you go all nerd on us.
