I remember it was Misano, but, I don't remember how he finished. You could be (and probably are) right. That was back in the good old days where the only traction control you had was in your wrist. Will definitely go down as one of the best saves in GP history. The wheelie at Brno when Max almost looped it might also be in the top 5.

I remember the race. It made the 10pm news here it was that spectacular. I have seen many clips of saves on TV and always thought here we go they must show the Mamola save, but it's never been on. Glad I could find it on U-Tube.

I seem to remember him vaulting back on when it slowed down a bit and went back onto the track.
