Put new rubber on the rear and swapped out windscreens … this looks like it is going to happen for me.Gonna leave the fuel cell at home though, hoping I can keep pace with an extra fuel stop.
Tony,

We want to meet you at the Shell on highway 706 ( I-95 exit 87 A ) at 7:30 AM Friday ( December 29 ) morning. Then we will ride up to Wildwood and meet Joe there at the Speedway at Wildwood, I-75 exit 329 at 10:00 AM.

This will give us plenty of time to get to Streets in Bay Minette for the dinner Friday night at 6:00 PM.

Anyone else can join us at either stop or anywhere along the route.

Meet Tony at 7:30 AM

Shell

6751 W Indiantown Rd

Jupiter, FL 33458

Meet Joe at 10:00 AM

Speedway

I-75 Exit 329

Wildwood

Looks like I am bailing on this ride. Wasn't so much the single digit temps as it was the snow forecasted for Saturday. We have dinner reservations for Sunday, and not making it home by then isn't an option this time around. Enjoy the biscuits and gravy and post some pics.

Understand, Kendoo. For those that are going ...... group photo? On the porch at 11:30? I'll be wearing a white long-sleeve with the BMR logo and leaving by noon.

Weather radar can be seen here: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=NCR&rid=mob&loop=yes

Short-term forecast from NOAA:

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. West wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

... a GREAT forecast for riding. Y'all be careful, and I'll see you there.

Ride safe guys. I’m sitting by the fireplace in my hotel room in Helen, bike gear spread across half the room. Look forward to hearing everyone made it back safe.

Got home safely last night about 5:45.

Great to meet you yesterday, Uncle Hud. You musta hauled tail Tony, we made it home right after you. How much gas does an FJR stock tank hold, again?
Ha Ha… Trying to forget the drama I caused. For everyone else, the question is "What happens when one rider leaves his fuel cell at

home and rides with big dogs with big tanks?" Answer: He runs out of gas and surges for the last 4 miles to Exit #192 to get gas.

My gas receipt says 6.706 … But I was only 59.9 miles on reserve (?)

I'm just a puppy around you three, so i hardly qualify, but it was stressful hearing your bike surging over the intercom for the last 4 or so miles running out of fuel. I would say you were running on fumes, but more than likely, just coasting. Good times

Glad to meet you too, neanderthaler -- but Jeez oh Pete, I do NOT enjoy range anxiety. Glad Tony didn't have to push his bike down the Interstate. Me? I was glad for three fuel stops just to warm up.

Nice to shake hands with the SoFla crew. I mean, frickin' awesome to shake hands with the SoFla crew.
