The Clock

Any ideas why the bike's clock is losing time all of a sudden? Last 2 weeks I have noticed this. Thanks in advance for any help...btw I have 23000 + miles on her~

Check your battery connections, frame ground, starter cable etc. for cleaniness and tightness if it's resetting after a start. Trip odo will also commonly go to zero if thats the problem.

A weak battery could do it too but you'd also notice slow cranking I'd think.

Did you cross a time zone headed west? If your western flocking master pawl is not properly timed with your eastern deflockulating synchronizer, the automatic webster gear will cause you to lose an hour when crossing a time zone headed west but sometimes fails to gain it back when crossing the zone when you are headed back. Don't you know nothin' :blink:

P.S. You'd think a guy would have something better to do at 1:30am, wouldn't you?

Mine has been resetting recently (along with trip odometer), so it's probably a battery connection issue, but it never cuts out when running. I'm wondering if something I have is drawing too much current at startup?
