Interesting. I figured I knew the outcome but I didn't think it would be as dramatic as it was!! My wife thought the new car would have been "killed" by the big boat, she was really surprised.

One might argue the new Chevy was killed (totalled), but the dumbassed driver survived after drifting into the beautiful classic car's lane. The ******* is now alive to kill again.

Or.................. not. :)

 
Check out the crash; there's a lot of rust-dust in the air. I'm not so sure of the integrity of the '59 Chevy. I'm not saying it would have changed the outcome, but was age a factor....................................perhaps.

 
Regardless of the conditions of the two cars, the point is that a car with no seat belts, no air bags, no collapsible steering column and no crumple zones will transfer a lot more energy to the driver and passengers where they are free to bounce around and get pummeled by the interior of the vehicle.
