Been working on my dirt side, getting the track ready... thought ya'll might like to see the other 1/2 of my motorcycling interests.. Fully watered with rain birds and fire hose, mostly sand with a little tiny bit of clay here and there.

Uhh, that's why I have the Playboy channel?

And the action piccies are where.....? I'm missing my yearly trips to Hollister, CA :dribble:

Up here in Washington is rocks and roots and lots of 'em, rarely get into 4th except for fire roads :angry2:

Happy riding!

That (John Deere?) Green tractor ain't gonna run long with that Hardley sticker splooged on the front.

Nice set up there D, too bad I'd never walk right again if I was ta dance that floor

:jester:

So how many bumps ya clear jumpin that there John Deere eh ?? :dribble:
Funny you would mention that. My bud has a 1943 model M Allas Chalmers dozer. I got it running real good one day and told him he should try it out. He went waaay fast over the downhill 'ski' jump, damn near tossed him off the dozer and into the tracks. It was a very close to death experience. With the little JD, the most I've done is get waaaay to close to the edge of the table top jump.. I lowered the bucket and box, got off the high side.. and when all was done, I could lift the rear tire off the ground with one finger under the fender...

Yeah, I know.. the track doesn't even have knobbie marks on it yet.. I've been busy riding the Feejer. 20k since late April 06.. and I'm fat and lazy too. Need to get back to this dirt stuff. No cops, no performance awards...

That sticker has been on that tractor since 1992! Same with the Camel Sx sponsorship stickers.. Time has a way of flying by.. Maybe that's why decals are so cool; they mark the passage of time.

I LOVE that double with the trees arching over the horizon!

A bit hard to tell from pics, is it 60-70 feet? Looks like firm in 3rd, shift up on landing, down two then turn hard left?

Sweeeeeet!

I wanna ride, I wanna ride.

:)

Most of the doubles are on order of 15 - 40'. I keep them short purposely. I have lots of guys and gals who ride the track that for them, 20' is a real thrill. It's hard to tell, but I've also built it so that all the jumps are 'rideable-overable'. No blind side sheer drop off's or nothing. I hate seeing folks getting hurt and always am concerned about the liability thing. So far, no one has been seriously injured. The table top is 28 of my paces, at about 3' per pace? it's ~80 feet long. On my 426, with the short chute right out of the right hand corner, that *immediately* follows a smaller TT, it takes 3rd gear, pinned. Did I say PINNED? The jumping is the easy part, the landing is easy, but boy oh boy the the speed through the following corner after the TT has claimed many an innocent brave soul! . Oh, and yeah, I have to trim the trees to keep the pro level guyz from snagging their helmets. One year, they had a contest, started putting $$ on it, as to who could first touch the tree with their hand. I was a bit nervous watching, but they made it look real easy. Pros always do.

Can you tell I just went to the SX at San Francisco and now want to ride ride ride? You gotta get out here Jeff..

Sounds like I need to grab my old 250F and come a rippin'! I like a high-speed track with not too much altitude. It plays to my old-school motocross strengths. All that "you can only go as fast as you can stop" and "where you learn to out brake your competition" stuff gives me a genuine woody.

Man, you are evil temptation!

Track looks like a whole day of fun! I know you spent a lot of time getting it to that point.
