No matter what a person thinks of this country's policies when it comes to the military, one can hardly argue the sacrifice of these fine people or their families. I for one, hold them all in very high regards and as a source of pride.

Our country is what it is, in part to those willing to sign on the dotted line and make the sacrifices. They do so, all the while shrugging their shoulders and claiming it is only a job.

Sir, you and your family are in my prayers. Though I would like to thank him in person, for now please accept my thanks via this forum and share these posts with as many as you can.

God Bless,

Bryan

I already know all too well how those deployments work. Done two in Iraq so far, third one comes this Jan. I know it sucks for the parents, but your son is doing a great service for our country. I wish him well along with our prayers.

I work at a VA hospital and know of the sacrifices veterans have made in the past and are making now around the world. My thanks and gratitude to your son and all who serve. My two cousins (Marine and Green Beret) as well as my Godson (Marines) have served in Iraq and other hot spots over the years, and all came home safe. I pray the same for your son.

All my family's thanks go out to our military families who are sacraficing their own comforts, concerns and freedom to ensure we have ours.

I realize that it bites the big one right now but your son and the sons and daughters of others are being prepared to take over in 10 - 20 years and be the leaders of tomorrow. Unfortunately there will always be wars and their experiences, although at a very high price, are going to be what makes us strong as a nation tomorrow as they assume the mantel of leadership in various capacities tomorrow when all of us geezers start stepping aside.

Give em Hell and stay safe.

Axeman,

Your son & family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Your support will give him the strength to lace his boots everyday, and the courage to do what he must in order to get home safe. Semper Fi.

I have three nephews in Iraq. One just got back making four that have been over there. I think about their bravery everyday they serve us and our country.

As many of you know from some of my previous postings, my son enlisted in the Marine Corps back in September. On Saturday he called with the news that he will be deploying to Iraq in September. Even though it was expected, it doesn't make it any easier....
He will be deploying out of Camp Lejeune, NC with the 1st Battallion 9th Marines....

It didn't bring alot of comfort to find his Battalion patch.

Give him a big HUG an let him know that we are praying for his safety...

And sending a few prayers for the rest of your family as well...

Mary

Tell him we are proud of him and thank him for his service.

He is a very honorable young man, you should be very proud.

The world will be a better place for his service.
