Mine arrived this afternoon. But seeing as I am leaving for the The Show first thing tomorrow morning, they shall ride out the Iron Butt Rally sitting in their package mocking me.

Bummer. What a disappointment.

Me thinks they will returned. Who knows what the latest/greatest aux lights will be by the time I really need them again. My PHIDs will be more than adequate until then.

I was also missing a rock guard.

I ordered two items that were in pairs, the rock guard and spare wiring connectors. I only received one of each.

I have been informed that there has been a 'eff up in regards to the rock guards. Apparently everyone who ordered 1 pair actually recieved only 1. The balance are on the way to me and when I get them I'll turn them around to all who ordered them.

I have also been informed that those who ordered the additional wide cornering lens' have not recieved the ring to go with the lens. I have been told BY BD that the price only included the lens and not an additional ring. I'm not sure why I was requested to add the option of a ring color if the ring wasn't being supplied.

Also, I DO NOT KNOW WHY the IBR guys didn't get thier lights BEFORE the others in this GB, despite repeated requests from me.

Except for the rock guard debacle, if anyone else has recieved an order that's incorrect, please contact me and I'll straighten it out.

Will the ring currently on the light work with the wide cornering lens? If so, I do not need the extra ring for my wide cornering lens.

Something arrived yesterday, while I was overnighting in Lincoln, Nebraska, but my son did not open or look to see who it is from so don't know if it was lights or mounting brackets.

I'll ask him to check when I call tonight and see if anything else arrived. We are now at the IBR hotel in St. Louis.

Just got my lights delievered. Lights look good.

Didn't get any extra rings to go with the cornering lights. I figure thats no problem

Didn't get a the wiring harness Thats a problem!

But did get 4 rock covers.... I did that by mistake. I ordered 2 sets instead one set.

I guess I can keep the extra set of rock guards I ordered or I can sell them.

I am missing a single connector from the pair.

I thought it was a wiring harness also, but as I read the description of the item it appears to only be a connector. I am pretty sure BD gave Skyway a picture of a harness instead of the connector only. However, there is the following comment: "Image shown is for illustration purposes only."

By the way, Skyway thank you for the work on this. I know there have been a few errors, but I don't in anyway think it was your fault.

huron52, there isn't a wiring harness for these - you have to wire them in yourself. The lights should each come with the other connector, but all of the wiring is user provided and installed.

If you need help with this, I'd be happy to supply you some information, and I'm certain that there are many forum members that would help as well.

Just to let everybody know, Ian is working with Baja Designs to get this mess cleaned up.

The missing rock covers - that's because whoever pulled the orders thought 1 meant 1 - not 1 pair. They are shipping those extra guards out to Ian, and on his own nickel, he's going to reconcile them with the orders, and ship them out to us.

That's a few hundred bucks he gets to eat because the vendor screwed up.

Keep in mind that the price we paid is actually below normal vendor cost - Ian made "BUPKIS" on this group buy - he did it to support the FJR community. And he's taken flak from other BD vendors for it.

Ian's a stand up guy - and he's making this right out of his own pocket.

His Karma bucket overfloweth....

Oh! OK then I did get the connector. In the picture it shows a wiring harness per say ... So I thought it should look like a harness.

So I guess I am good! And Like I said rings are missing for the cornering but I can use the orginal rings that come with.

If they meant one was one it doesn't figure why I got 4 covers when I missed reading how many I was ordering. I thought I was ordering two covers and then I mistakeny ordered two pairs... I got two pairs.

I'm not going to try and figure it out!

What is it used for?
