Decided to leave the casino in Shreveport with some of my money. Someone has to keep them in business. Should be in Russellville by 5pm today.

..Petey....that is some slow shipping... Let us know when she does show.

Petey - that's just a bummer that you're not going to be there.

Hell - EVERY FJR rally I've been to, I turn around and there's Petey! 'Specially at WFO last year. Scared the living bejeezus outta me... :scare:

Hope all is OK with ya, bud.

Geek, I'm ok thanks, sometimes things just don't work out. Dolly finally arrived. I slapped on a different label and shipped her out. She should be at the "Brookfield In" mid after noon tomorrow. :yess:

The postal service confuses me at times..

I've shipped items 200 miles and it's taken over a week.. Sent the same stuff to California and it only took 3 days..

I dunno, maybe me kicking the mailman outa the wife's bed pissed them off

I don't know about that one, Bust. I mean, he's never sabotaged your mail shipments before this! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!

After a week of contemplation, it looks like I am going to make it to SFO afterall. If anyone needs a roomie to share the cost of their room let me know. Just send me a PM and leave me your phone number. I'll call you just asap.

See you in Russellville Friday eve.

Rain? Pffft... You can't have a good SFO without at least one day of severe gully washers. Rain gear has been tested today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Ok.... Miss Dolly has arrived. She is a little worn out from the trip or Bustanutt, not sure. She isn't telling!!!!

Good morn'n folks. Jus letting ya'll know that my wife and I will be at the banquet. We have to pick-up our kids in Conway tomorrow so we'll be driving :eek:hwell:to the motorcycle rally.

Where's Mark Bottoms? Where are all the FJR faithfull?
Well Mark arrived fashionably late, but everything worked out pretty good this year. Got rained on pretty good on Friday, then got a dry day on Saturday. Sorry Bust, but Dolly was abused again. I think I've seen enough. By the way you need to get off your *** and come down for SFO sometime Mr. Bustanut. A newbie from Racine Wisconson came down this year. I think you oould make an effort. You can come protect Dolly or whatever you do with her.

Well it was a great SFO even with a little rain & its always fun meeting everybody again. Those that did not go missed a great time. The dinner was great even had time to ride some bikes from the Honda dealership. Well made it home safe & sound by 4pm Thanks for a good time.

Been watching coverage of the tornado that hit Joplin, Mo.

Praying that all of you who attended SFO got out of the area before the storms hit.

Mbottoms and I didn't get any rain or other bad weather driving back to the Dallas area, but the roads were wet or damp in spots from earlier showers or mist. I lost traction once on a damp curve, but didn't go doewn. Just now hearing about Joplin. Hope everybody posts up about making it home safe.

Thanks to all who put together SFO this year! It was great seeing old friends and making new ones too. The wait staff at the hotel was great. The food was excellent and of course, the riding in Arky is awesome!

BTW - to those that make the decisions - I personally liked the rally being in Russellville. I think Eureka is a great town but it's on the North end of the great riding. Anywhere along I-40 is perfect because you can go North or South, or even both. So my vote for next year is somewhere centrally located like Russellville.

I found some great roads today South of Hot Springs, all the way through central and southern Arkansas. Highway 8 that runs Southeast towards Greenville MS was kick ***! It was loaded with high speed sweepers and excellent pavement. And those of you that have ridden with me know how much I like that!! :yahoo:

Looking forward to seeing all of you again next year.

Like GPRIDER said, we both made it back to the Dallas area safe and dry.

The trip up on Friday wasn't as dry, when I passed through Little Rock, the bottom fell out and it poured.

I only had to run in the heavy stuff for about an hour, after that, the weekend was rain free.

Saturday morning the weather was great, cool breeze and partly cloudy, the temp was around 70, but the humidity was low.

Started warming up after 1pm on Saturday, still only about 85 but the humidity went up as well.

I liked the central location at Russellville also, in less than 30 minutes, you were in twisties no matter which direction you rode.

I give the hotel a rating of Good, it had most of the characteristics of a rider friendly hotel, such as mini fridge, on site bar and resturant, clean,

and my shower worked pretty well. They were very friendly and accomodating. The only negative on the hotel that I am aware of was they were a little

week in the breakfast area, but apparently several of you were only charged $59.00 per night, pretty good rate.

As for the Banquet and dinner, I thought the food was better than average and the service was good.

We were only 5 plates short of the required, so everybody chipped in a little extra and everything worked out.

If you cancelled just before the rally or left early before dinner, no worries, everything has already been covered, there is no additional action required on your behalf. Thanks again for everybody that came out, I had a great time and enjoyed meeting up with you guys as always.

Michelle and I will be getting together real soon to start brain storming for next year.

Thanks Again Everybody!!!

Mark
