Obviously it's your choice, but have you ever owned a white or black vehicle? They look great but are a pain to keep clean. Personally I love the desert metallic - still a little bitter we couldn't get it in the states. :(

Yep. Metallic Dirt would be my choice. My XS1100 is metallic black and gorgeous when its clean and shiny and the chrome is glistening. BUT it shows every speck of dust. Still, a black or pewter FJR in the US of A....pretty cool!

Keith--do what YOU want. The rest of us could paint our bikes whenever we wanted.

:good: .....+1....

Keith as Mad Mike has mentioned its your bike. Personally I think the color of my rides is very personal to "me". With that said, you probablly already know what your favorite shade is....so keep us updated and post up some pics when your done so we can drool I mean check them out. PM. <>< ;)

If I was repainting mine I'd have to seriously consider Fly Yellow. Same color as my Ducati was...

How about Harley Davidson Orange?! That'd really piss off the 'Eletist' HD owners. :bleh:

I loved the pearl white paint with light and dark blue and black striping on my '82 CBX:

Now that was a bike!! I was too young (16) and small (90 lbs) when CBX production ended in 82, but is the reason why i have always been attracted to "super sport" tour bikes

First time I saw one of those bikes I fell in love...with the bike and the guy riding it! Ended up marrying the guy! He had 3 CBXs and I loved each one!

White is a great color. A friend painted his R-1 "cadillac pearl white" and they didn't put any other color in the mix. I guess they usually put blue in the mix or something like that. Anyway, it was fabulous! Let's face it, this bike looks great no matter how it's dressed.

Hey Keith,,since it used to be my bike i gotta add my 2 cents,,,I think it would look good with the yellow and black yamaha colors but your prob gonna do white,,,did ya get the package i sent yet ????

How about Dessert Metallic with black decal/trim? I would hide the dirt pretty well, and would look really gorgeous if it's shiny and in the sun.

Personally I'm leaning toward paint codes 11U (Dessert Metallic) or 80U (Monterey Red). Both would look classy and awesome.
