Figured I would share some pictures of the before during and after for some of the parts that I am powder coating. I tested a couple of different black colors trying to match the Canyon Cages & the Givi top box mount. I finally got it close enough for me. I used the Eastwood powder coating kit & a house oven I bought real cheap.

Here are the parts ready to be coated. I used special tape that came with the kit for the areas where the pegs make contact.

I would not advise that.. lol They reference many times that once an oven is used for powder coating, it can NOT be used for cooking ever again. I bought mine from a local paper classifieds for $40.

Now I understand what happens to those $35 ovens in the back of the appliance store.

Nice work, can't wait to see how it looks in place!

Pretty much all done for now.. Here is the outcome.

Here are the rear brackets & WynPro Anti-VIbe light brackets.

All in all it was pretty easy.. I was planning on doing the shifter until I found out that the shifter was connected to the shifter link and didn't want to mess with the rubber boots. The big pain was removing the rear brake pedal assembly which involved removing the brake line because of routing. Then of course I now have to bleed the brakes. I was on the fence but in the end decided to go for it. I know it would have ate at me and I would have bit the bullet and pulled them off at some time anyways. Ended up using right at 1lb of powder to do all of the parts at a cost of $25.

Lets see lots more pics of the sides, the candy red contrasting with the new black. Looks great from what we can see.

Almost too purty to ride and get dirty. Hey, I made a rhyme and didn't even know it!
