I consulted with my Labrador on this issue.

He told me that he really liked Michael Vick and asked that everyone send him their favorite recipes.

" Hide your Beagle..... Vicks an Eagle!"

If dog fighting was part of his culture, as he says, Why kill the dogs the way he did it? Electrocution, body slamming them to the ground, drowing them? He doesn't deserve a second chance in my book. He can play football in HELL, thats where he going to end up anyway. Piss on the Eagles and anyone else who says different! :assassin:

Been watching the story about Vick on Animal Planet, discussing, revolting, sub-human..........................I better stop there.

I'll be watching in hopes that the teams he plays against decide to extract a little revenge for their furry friends.

I hope they give him the Daryl Stingley treatment. :glare:

It always amazes me how many people that have these discussions separate themselves from the fame and fortuned few, whom have fallen from grace and done stupid things. I've had a many {famos} on different venues and they at times have fallen hard. I liked Jimmy Swaggart (oh well), I liked Rush Limbaugh (oh well), I even had a reserve liking for Micheal Vick, and for that matter Phelps too(just can't stay out of the news). I marvel at the things that people do and rise to a level of stardom that most of us dream about. But from David-the feller who slew Goliath (Whom the big fellow above) loved like no other...he too faltered and fell short. That is what we do as human beings, we fall short...What is to be shown for most of the aforementioned is what is their character made of, how will they choose to live their lives and who will they be from this day forward. It's our job now to hold them to their newly proclaimed level of respect for position and getting a second opportunity. I love dogs, all domesticated animals..but one man's cruelty is not another's- just based on their personal perspective(truly M Vicks is/was totally screwed up. I am a harsher critic of the daily regular guy than I am the star-doomed entertainers of our world...only so few survive unscathed, and even baseball recently has taught us that sometimes it's just a matter of time even after they leave that we find that they were not what they appeared. Self-abuse(drugs-alcohol), child-abuse(beater-*********), wife-abuse(beater-cheater), animal abuse(beater-starver-fighter-killer), fan-abuse(idol-role model disappoints)(huh?) somehow at the end, we all manage to forgive and move on, times just ticks it away. To me in this long and final thought- What are these individuals, mere men;going to do to show their own children(son's particular) what they are made of..ultimately for each one of them...that is all that matters to me.

M Vick, has a shot now to show me nothing, but show his son's, daughters how to make the best of God's GRACE.

We will be watching.

Yep!

Man.....there you go with that old "speck vs. log in your eye" thing.

We do tend to hold our "heroes", "stars" and police officers to a higher standard of behavior, hence the tumble into despair when they fail to live up to even basic standards of behavior and morals.

John 8:1-11

God has forgiven me, I'll leave it to him to determine Mr. Vick's fate.

As an animal lover, Vick makes me want to puke! He must have some sort of brain though, he didn't accept the offer from Cincinnati. If only he had, then maybe we could have run him and Mike Brown both out of town.

I hope some huge animal loving lineman takes him down and does a Mike Tyson on his throwing arm. Or picks him up and slams him down from over his head, or clothes lines him with a lock like a hangmans noose. Sound familar???

You can take the punk out of the hood, but he's still a punk!
