Only you could make blah scenery interesting Michael. But do us a favor and keep your helmet on, will ya? You'll scare some cows or something...
When riding in areas inhabited by elk (and upon encounter); the U.S. Forest Service Rangers recommend, if possible: removing your helmet so the elk (especially the bulls during the rut) see you as human and then you (or in this case, OM) are not considered a threat to be challenged.
We ARE talking about Old Michael, right? A threat?

I lived for three years with an Elk herd on the property, never a hassle. Though I never wore a yellow dome.... hmmm

Great pictures Michael. I liked the second set more for some reason. More personal in feeling somehow. You have a great eye for detail.

Old Michael,

Nice report. Keep um coming.

Good to see parts of the Country that do not hibernate for the Winter!

Stupendous and Magnificent Ride Report once again, Old Michael! You're the Best! Amazing how Big-Headed Kreston Kowboy Kid gets all around State of Kalifornia; muy malo hombre is everywhere, I mean everywhere. He must ride a Harley!

Foster's Bighorn Saloon in Rio Vista is a real trip, isn't it! I used to keep a Yukon Delta 26 foot houseboat in a slip at Tracy Oasis Marina and would motor on over to Foster's for cocktails. I would look at some of the animals he shot and just laugh!

Shot an animal in Africa called a Dik-Dik. I kid you not, was about the size of a Schnauzer! How could you shoot a Schnauzer?

California's indeed most scenic State in the Union, with greatest diversity from mountains to sea; you capture it all! Bravo!

O.M., thanks for the great ride report. Very entertaining. And what beautiful scenery. Makes me wish I lived in Northern California so I could ride all those same roads. Oh wait....

Anyway, I gotta get out more on weekends, 'cause as it is, most of the scenery I get to see from my bike looks a lot like this:

Some are better at it than others....

But I did get to see some umbrella girls this weekend. Actually, I made them out of my own head. :D

It's why I haven't been riding on weekends, 'cause I've been a paintin' fool.

I hope we can ride together some time. I miss you. In fact, I'd even be willing to get up early, say, 9:30, and stop a lot to take pictures. No really. :(

Yeah, Don, that fellow seems to have really enjoyed killing stuff for fun. The giraffe was disturbing.

And sadly, closer to home, I've heard that Dr. Rich often gives his Cocker Spaniel the finger.

... Trying to talk my wife into flying to the left coast and renting some bikes to see just such scenery.
Sounds like an excellent idea. You mean motorbikes, right?

Isn't that a photo of poor Brad Pitt's misadventure?

I hope we can ride together some time.
JB, you should consider joining us for Papa Chuy's Death Valley Daze shindig in late Jan. We could get all liquored up

and race our FJRs across the desert.

Great photos OM! I particularly like the photo showing the endangered species on the bar wall wearing a helmet. Of course one look at that creature makes it very clear why it is endangered :lol2:
