So The Void ran this past weekend. Great time was had by all! I'm quasi-retired from riding rallies, but I did work scoring and do other grunt work for the Rally Master and I had a blast.

There were three 'remote' start locations - Statesboro, GA, Nashville, TN or Allentown, PA. All start locations, finish in Lynchburg, VA. There was also a 10 hour version that started and ended in Lynchburg, VA.

Lots of my friends did well and I'm very proud of them all - just bragging on the people who are on here. I'm especially proud of Corey Nuering (sp?) for coming in FIRST in his group of starters (Nashville). I scored Corey and came in early and rushed through scoring because he needed to get the dealer for a new rear tire. I never did hear the story on what happened, but I am guessing he had an unpleasant flat. Corey's rally pack was a pleasure to score because he did EVERYTHING right, no points left on the table. Great job!

Also proud of Josh Mountain for a podium finish from his starting group from Allentown. The northern start location is always very popular with lots and lots of bikes, so Josh did very, very well for a brand new rallier. Look out for this one, I'm telling you.

While yesterday was a very nice day in Lynchburg, the riders did have some rain in WV (maybe there was more, but that's what I know about). Today was a yucky day. low 50's and rainy. Poor riders, many nursing hangovers, had to ride home in it. It did stop raining as we got north, but still cold and gloomy. Great day for a ride! In a truck

Very fun rally and I hope to see more of you there next year! :)

Thanks to Nancy and the other volunteers, for what was indeed a great rally. 2nd time I have done "The Void", and this was even more fun than last year. Don't know exactly where I finished up yet, as I was preparing for one of those hangovers when the final scoring was posted, but I do know I had a great time, rode some fantastic roads, (a couple more than once just for the hell of it), and met up with friends both old and new. (And even Hotch!).

Hit a little bit of rain on the way home to PA, but I think we were riding in between two storms so other than the cold, it was an unremarkable ride home.

Great event, and already looking forward to next year.

Pete,

Thanks Kitty for kind words. What a great rally!

Drinks were delicious and oroblems were solved: Pretty sure WF gave me a bike to use for MM and **somebody** is riding pillion to Prudhoe.

I'm never drinking again.

This needed to be said twice! :clapping:

What's wrong with stuff in the middle of nowhere? When you need FJR maintenance in Bumblefuck Canada we'll see who's complaining about little extra gear. Still working on having firearms to pick up at the local Bureau office in Alaska. NICE! So doable.

Thank you squeezer.
