Must get down there again.

Last time I was there it was just a paddle-wheeler, a couple of old casinos, a hotel and a few outlet stores. Can't remember if the roads were paved?

There really is nothing like having a great day with the boat. Of course we all have a different idea of what a boat should be. For me there are 3 kinds of boats. 1)Those you can fish out of, which is my main requirement. 2)Those big enough to have multiple buffets. 3)Those for other people.

I will say that the shiny white Dodge hooked up made a very complete and good looking tow package. I do like having everything look good on the way to the landing myself.

thanks redfish, this was the boat and truck before this one

rolled the truck in a snowstorm coming back from Missouri for thanksgiving.i hate flagstaff !

I get it too. My other bike is a 24 ft cuddy that needs a little time with a buffer if anyone wants to help. When I finally hit retirement, a perfect day is to get up and let the weather tell me if I'm going riding, boating or riding to the golf course.

You were doing just fine until you said GOLF

Ok, I'll bite. How exactly does the weather determine what you do? Seems like all of those require the same weather for ideal results.

I can only speak for myself here with regards to the weather so...

It is a well known fact that a man can fish when the weather is too bad to work outside. A boat corners just as well in "wet weather", the rain does not make the water surface more slippery. A good hard rain helps keep the boat clean, catching fish makes a boat astonishingly dirty. A nice soft rain will often make conditions ideal for the fish to hit topwater baits.

I can, will, and often do ride the bike in the rain. I don't mind the lightning on the bike, it makes me a little nervous in the boat.

I don't know what that other thing he mentioned is. Galf? Gulp? Or did he say Golf? If he meant to say Gulf, as in Gulf of Mexico, I can help, otherwise I have no clue.

Wind is more manageable on the bike than the boat or golf. Over 95 degrees is more manageable in the boat (see O.P.'s pictures and comentary above. re drinking, etc.) And FJRay, golf is mainly for self abuse.

Ok, thanks. I either ride the motorcycle or play video games. That's kind of obvious weather wise. I neither boat nor golf though. :D

dj bill: "there's more to life than riding"............so true.

But some days, riding just brings more to life.

Ha...Know exactly how you feel. We left early Sunday morning with the camper, kids and the jet ski. Spent most of the day Sunday, all day Monday, and too much of the day on Tuesday hanging out, having fun with the kids and burning fossil fuel. We didn't get home till 10 last night and we had to be up by 5 for work.

We had a blast. A ton of kids between the families, and nothing but good times for all. We have a Yamaha VXR 1.8L high output ski that is a rocket. After its paid off, we'll get a boat.

For now, its just a blast riding with my girls and hearing them laugh.
