Northern California Friends,
We're relocating (back) to California this summer, and I working from home in a "live anywhere" role. We're trying to decide where to live. Our primary considerations are 1.) excellent schools and 2.) finding a place build our dream home. After an exhausting search in the Bay Area and finding nothing appropriate, and realizing that schools in the wine country aren't as good as we'd hoped, we're looking seriously at some property in Loomis. We're thinking of three acres or so and have a couple of parcels identified.
I'm wondering if any of you live there or near, or have specific experience with the area that you might share with me?
Any thoughts on the people in the area?
Any personal knowledge of schools and local amenities?
What's your impression about the weather? Reportedly, its a couple of degrees cooler on average in Loomis than Roseville or Sacramento.
Any other ideas on Northern California towns with excellent schools and property available?
Perhaps this is an odd thing to ask, but if you're out taking a casual ride in the area, I wonder if you'd be interested in driving by some addresses and giving me your general impressions?
Thanks for anything you might offer. I'd value your opinions. And I'm looking forward to riding with you all when out there!
