Not entirely on topic, but a Madstad windshield setup will do miracles for your FZ-07 in terms of wind protection and comfort.
The one on the wife's NC700X borders on miraculous. I had to ride it home to Chicago from Detroit on a blustery day along I-94, which is a semi-trailer-packed super expressway that never moves less than 70mph, and I was shocked at how excellent the protection and lack of turbulence was. And that was before I even discovered the shield had adjustability that would have fit me better.
If an FJ-07 ever ends up in our garage, it's getting a Madstad before anything else.
Meanwhile, patience stalking your FJR will be a virtue you will be long pleased with.
In truth, the prime buying season is more or less over. What's left on the market is the I-don't-care sales in the winter weather regions. The time to buy is in the chill of late autumn as sellers decide they need the garage space more than they need money.
Still, anytime prior to March 15th (again, in the winter-afflicted regions) is still going to be okay.
