Book says to lube the cable with cable luber or engine oil. How do you guys do it? My cable luber will not seal tight on the handle bar cable ends. Do I have to go under the tank and use the pressure to lube up?
+1Aerosol can of Tri-Flow. Use the little red tube and force some down the cable. Work them, repeat. You know, the old way, before cable lubers came out.

To bad alot of places don't even know about Tri-Flow. Best thing since Duct Tape IMO, been using it forever B)
I'm one of those 'places' . What the heck is that, and where do you buy it? Hardware store? Auto Parts store? Will make the decision between that and just oil (I do have an oiler). Thx man.To bad alot of places don't even know about Tri-Flow.

I use a sandwich bag.
Disconnect the cable from the throttle twist grip. Poke a hole in the corner of a sandwhich bag and feed the cable into the hole so the cable housing is in by 1/4 inch or so. Use elecrical tape to secure the bag to the housing and add a little bit of oil. Tie it up so the bag doesn't spill and the cable is all down hill and let gravity to it's job. After a while you will see it starting to weep out the other end. Done.
Crude, but effective and cheap.
Thanks buddy, but I was expecting to see one product. There're TEN :dribble: . Which is the 'good' one? Thx .Tri flow's web page click here

Well, thanks to your suggestion, just looked at my bicycle stuff, and guess what I found? Yep, no need to buy it anymore  . Guess it's obvious I don't lube my chains that often. Take care.Looks like you could go by a bicycle shop and pick some up
