I have a 2004 FJR that had an existing Throttlemeister cruise control installed by the original owner. Now after locking at speed the throttle slowly resets itself back to idol when my hand is off. I no not have a manual or ever worked on them before. How do I retighten it?

If all else fails. Call throttlemeisters. The owner is very helpful and should help you solve any problems. He's a great guy.

On some bikes (not sure about the FJR) the TM is held in position with friction, so the washers don't really come into play. You loosen the screw at the and and reposition the mount and tighten from there. This is how it worked on all the Hondas I had TM's on.

Dude, they have a tendency to vibrate out over time. It happens. Try gently tapping on the bar end inward with a soft mallet or anything that won't mar it and it'll go back into place. It happens to mine every once in a while and it works. :)

That's what I do as well! I tap when the lock is in the open position and the tap is very gentle?
