I am planning on leaving Sacramento around 11:00ish for a run up Hwy 50 have lunch in Lake Tahoe then take a spin either all the way around the lake starting with a run around Emerald Bay on the West side of the lake if time permits go all the way around then head back over 50 before dark. I can meet anyone at Sunrise and 50 or anywhere up 50 towards Tahoe. Need a mental health day!

Mental health day... I like it! I'm on ***** overdose.

Can you scoop me up at the Starbucks south side of 50 and Latrobe?

Rather than start a new thread in ride reports I'll just post up here that it was a good day to be Jeff and Brad. Made a quick run up to Tahoe and then after lunch I completely derailed Jeff's ride around the lake plans by jumping over Kingsbury Grade down Hwy 395, over Monitor Pass (mostly clean but fresh tar snakes) and back over the hill via Hwy 88. It was a bit nippy over the tops but the sun felt good, the traffic was light and Jeff makes for a good riding companion.

The obligatory 'yes we're here, no you're not' shot.

Good medicine riding with Jeff today, if you're feeling a little under the weather I highly reccomend this prescription.

yep, slowly ....but the passes are starting to clear!

thanks for sharing the pics and glad you got what the DR. ordered

Just caught this ride report. Ain't California a great place to live? (Or was that Nevada?* )

Thanks for posting.

*Reminds me of the time I stood in a farmer's field in Vermont looking east across a broad field and small river into the distant hills and commented to the farmer standing next to me: "Vermont sure is beautiful." To which he replied with that wonderful Vermont accent: "Thaht's New Hampshah...."

Holy Semolians (=$$$)

I gotta get up there to Sonora/Ebbetts Pass/Monitor Pass/Markleyville/Bridgeport/June Lake Loop/Mono Lake/Lee Vining/Mammoth Lakes/Tioga Pass/Mekouleme Meadows, etc. etc.etc. before the meat bees start to bite!

Thanks for those pics :dribble:

Now, where's the money for the petrol?

I intend to ride from Quincy to So. Lake Tahoe and on to Carson Pass this Saturday. My final destination will be Sopiago Springs, near Cooks Station about 50 miles or so west of Carson. Going down there for a BBQ and riding home the same day.

Hey Ray, I'll look for you up there. Sopiago is only about 40 minutes from my house so I thought I'd shoot up there for a burger around noonish. I'll be on the FJR as well since I'm still sore from playing dirt auger last Sunday.

Sopiago is also the place we are going to hold FODS this year so I need to get some shots to show folks the accommodations.
