Even after searching and reading, I'm a little vague on what I can do to reduce vibration on my 07. Some say a PCIII helps, others it's grips.
Tell me what works for you.
1.) Get some heavier bar-end weights (Try FJR Goodies), I have Throttlemeister "heavy".

2.) Some have reported that "Grip Puppies" (Foam grips tht slip over the stock grips) also help absorb vibrations.

3.) Throttle lock of some type so you can remove your hand from the right bar and stretch it out.

4.) Loosen the center (main) throttle spring.

If your right wrist is sensitive, as mine is, find the combination that works for you. I have done numbers 1, 3 &4. Its not perfect, but I have the same issues on every bike...it made the FJR tolerable and like some say about their guns,

"I ain't givin' up my FJR until they pry it from my cold, dead fingers."

Vibration!? Vibration!? Lemme tell you about vibration:

I was warming my bike up sitting on the centerstand this morning parked next to a tree.

I shifted 55 times in a minute; then the throttle got too sensitive; the seat was too hard, my grips were too hard the throttle spring was too hard and it started ticking and roasted my left leg so I put the sidestand down to take it off the centerstand. I pulled the front brake lever in until it touched the grip.

When I was lowering it off the centerstand, the sidestand collapsed and it landed on my metal slider which broke my frame causing my Metzeler tire to fail and both sidebags to unlock and fall off. The car swerving into my lane couldn't hear my wimpy horn and there was no grease on my spline. It was wobbling at 48.5 mph and the buzzing was making my hands numb. I couldn't hear anything 'cuz of the static in my intercom.

The glovebox wouldn't open and the suspension was too mushy.

Picking it up, I tore my bicep, wrenched my back, both knees and got monkey butt....

Really, I don't know who has roads smooth enough that they can notice the vibration of the FJR over the road....

That's a good lump-sum whine you got going there.....didn't rhyme, though.

Power commander and heli triple clamp and you will have a ride like you never imagined. It is greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttt.

Sell it and buy a schwinn? :D or go ride a hardtail panhead for a coupla weeks :p

I just rode back from Mexico 13 hours straight on my HD that is slammed, stretched out and about as non tourer as you can get. Before that I did 8 states, 4500 miles in two weeks and the only thing that hurt was my a**. I've been riding for 30+ years and this vibration/numbness s*** aint right for something that is so high tech and marketed as as touring machine. I'm sure your schwinn and panhead and FJR get a lot of miles with no problems in your trailer.
Do tell Glenn .....

Ah where's your sense of humor

And that's on your trailer smarty pants I can't afford a fancy closed up one :bleh: Go veiw scythians' profile, read his intrests. That should solve any issues you are having.

Sorry, had a bad day, no week, actually can't remember many good ones in the last year. Riding the bike makes is one of the pleasures in life. Actually I have a pretty good sense of humor.
