I can confirm that Sunnyside is NOT able to bring the tire changing equipment. It was okay to run the air compressor, hydraulic tire machine, etc inside the Silver State Pavilion, but we can't in the Nevada Room.

So I would recommend you follow exskibum's advice and use BVH.

And as long as it's the rear tire, myself or several others will be more than happy to remove the wheel for you, then you can walk/roll it over to BVH to have fresh tire mounted, bring it back and we'll slap it on your bike for you, no problem.

Well, glad I ordered a fresh rear from G. McCoy and had it mounted last week... I think my front is good for the trip, but we'll see when I get to Reno.

Just curious, I take it you only offered help on the rear tire because the front is such an easy one to do for even a FNG?

No... it's because I'm sure no one will have a Pitt Bull stand, or sissors jack, etc that can hold up the front end so the front wheel can be removed!

However... if someone wants to bring a sissors jack and a 10"-long block of 2x4 wood, then we'll be good for front wheel tire changes, too.

I imagine Radman will have a car jack, since he's trailering. That's what I use (along with a 2x4) under the pipes to get my front tire off... I seem to remember Radman also posting he'd be bringing a plethora of tools too...

My God WC, you are really the man. Organizing the event, TBS syncs, wheel removal. I do appreciate all you are doing. I'm sure you'll have a fried liver if you drank every free drink offered your way but I'm going to try!

If you want Avons, you gotta order them. BVH does not stock Avons, normally. I ordered mine over the phone today. My oil and tire swap is scheduled for 0900 on Friday.

I can bring the stuff to do fronts, backs, and a crank lathe if anyone feels adventurous.
