I'm sure this has been hashed and rehashed on this forum, but I can't find it. My new rear Pilot Road (600mi) picked up a small sharp rock and went flat. I called 4 cycle shops who, without looking at the tire, say it must be replaced. I have a friend who repairs tires and claims plugs are very safe. He patched it for me and said it would be fine as long as I didn't run at high speeds for extended periods of time. What's the opinion here? If there is a thread on this subject, please point me to it.
