Go Wings!
T'was a good read. I've lost faith in all mechanical dial types, never found any very useful (for long). I've had a number of electronic AccuTire's and found them all fairly consistent, to themselves and to my Doran TPMS (they say +/- 1.5 psi). I verify periodically. I've taken a number of electronic ones apart, and the 'load cell' if that's what you call it all seem the same.... maybe AccuTire makes the majority regardless of brand? Anyway, not too concerned with being calibrated to a known standard as that's not readily available to me (it would be nice), but for the most part, as long as one's bike tires are not underinflated, they'll wear longer and more consistently I've found over the last few years. Having a TPMS will give me early warning if it goes low or high to my preset amounts. I do have a new 'remote' TPMS (posted elsewhere) that I'll test on the Wee next year, it gives tire (air) temperatures.
