Dealership is pitching this company to me for tire & wheel coverage. I am considering it for the wheel and tire coverage; it covers any damage to tires (puctures, etc.) or wheels (Michigan potholes). In the months before EOM last year, I managed to tweak both wheels courtesy of the finely maintained byways in Michigan.

The trip interruption coverage overlaps with my insurance, towing, gas, jump-start. It's $599 for 3 years; a rear wheel is $368 @ ronayers.com.

Has anyone here ever hear of them or had dealings? I'm hesitant now after checking thier BBB record (33 complaints in 36 months, 14 in past 12 months).

Thanks.

Wayne

Sometimes there is just too much insurance; this seems to be one of them. Six hundred dollars will buy you two sets of tires. Sure you might ding a wheel, but is that really likely, and unless you totally obliterate four tires, you're not going to get even with those either. This is just my opinion but I try to take out extended protection for very few item, i.e. I skip extended warranties on electronics, vehicles, appliances, etc. Yeah, I know somewhere down the line I'll probably get burned (but I bet in the long run I'll be way-ahead financially by skipping the insurance). Sorry I didn't specifically answer your question but thought I'd perhaps share my take on 'too much insurance'.

I don't know a thing about this company, but I've seen tire insurers come and go. When they "go" they do NOT refund for policies unfulfilled.
