Interesting comments relative to 07's having an extraordinary life span. I had an 07' with the original battery up till I sold it in Jan 2014. The bike started even on cold fall mornings while touring in the Pacific north west.

Timely post. We just spent some "quality time" along KY62 somewhere south of Lawrenceburg because my buddy's battery died in his Victory. Turns out his son turned the key on and left it on some day the week prior. He found it and put it on the trickle charger and it seemed to be fine,but on the side of the road in Kentucky I discovered the positive cable extremely loose. Tightened the cables and jumped it, but it wouldn't run when the jumper cables were removed. Off to the nearest WalMart for a new $100 battery. That did the trick.
